(There are estimated to be nearly 18,000 Indian restaurants in England alone.) Masala House is close to us and we have been watching the ‘opening soon’ banners closely to try this place as soon as it opened. We have tried many since moving here and weren’t really happy with any (the exception being Mint in Boone, which is wonderful.) Masala House exceeded expectations. We ordered chicken tikka masala, baigan bhaji and palak paneer - three staples for us that give us a good gauge of the kitchen’s ability to make great curries. Each of them was wonderful. We’re so happy to have Masala House in the neighborhood and wish them every success. Go and eat here (or takeout, as we did with our first order) - you won’t be disappointed. Just be careful with the heat/spice levels as they’re pretty true to what we have experienced in India, where they can blow your head off :-D Thank you, Masala House. Great job.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Christie Cooper2024-10-01I went today for my first time. The staff was very friendly and seemed to genuinely care that I had a good experience. I was brought complimentary papadum's with a trio of sauces. I ordered chicken Korma, medium heat, and plain Naan. Maybe it was just the way that they cut it, but the bread seemed to be a very generous portion. The Korma was just the right amount of heat. As a very white American, it was enough to eventually make my nose start to run, but not excessive to the point of needing to chug my water. The flavors had great depth that I thoroughly enjoyed. They do have a lunch menu, and I hope that they will offer wine/beer in the future. I will definitely be back again!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Andy Oliver2024-10-01Stopped in late on a Monday night when noticing they had recently opened. The space is roomy and comfortable, but not formal. Ordered Butter Chicken and Aloo Gobi - both were delicious and spiced the way we requested. Enjoyed the papadum lentil crackers and chutneys they brought before our entrees. Service was attentive and very pleasant. We will be back!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Madhusudan Khadka2024-10-01If you're looking for a delicious Indian meal, I highly recommend this place. The Tandoori Mixed Grill was a standout—perfectly charred on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with aromatic spices. The vibrant curry sauce complemented it beautifully. All the curries were rich and complex, especially the creamy butter chicken. It was kids favourite. Don’t miss the dumplings. The delicate wrappers encase savory fillings, and the tangy dipping sauce adds the perfect kick. The portions are generous, and the presentation shows the care put into each dish. Combined with attentive service, this place offers a truly memorable dining experience. 10 out of 5!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Amy Edwards2024-09-30Masala House NEW Indian Restaurant in Colony Shopping Center. Took friends for dinner tonight. WOW!!! Great Food. Great Service. What a JOY! Highly Recommend. Went with friends and the food was Amazing. The best I've had in decades. Spices/flavoring on point and so fresh! Servings were generous. Service was sooo friendly, attentive and fast. Best creamy nutty Chicken Korma ever. Outstanding Chicken Curry, Dal, and Chicken Vindaloo tonight... Oh the Lamb and Veg Samosas...spicy crispy delights, pastry so light and not greasy at all. And the perfectly not-too-Sweet Sweet Lassi cooled it all down. Bright happy atmosphere, would be great for parties. Can't wait to go back and bring more friends. Just wonderful experience. SO Happy to have this fantastic restaurant so close to home.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Josh Handest2024-09-30I saw that this new Indian place was open nearby so we decided it was a good date night option. My wife and I went in around 6pm last Friday. The service was prompt and attentive. The chicken mo:mo dumplings for an appetizer were juicy with a mild spiciness. When we ordered entrees they asked us our spice level from 1-5. We got a chicken korma at a 2 and a Kashmiri lamb rogan josh at a 4 with some peshawari naan and cheese paratha. Both dishes were bright and comforting and complimented perfectly with the bread additions. One thing to note, the naan was not as puffy and bread-like as most places I've eaten at. Not worse, just different. This will be our go-to for Indian when we are feeling like a bit of curry.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Adam Huggins2024-09-30If you order level 5 spicy just know they aren’t playing around.
